The Coast is Clear

Sunset in the back yard

My favorite tree in the back, still need that tire swing

Josh and Cody mowin

The new slogan for West shore Florida. Luckily there is no oil coming this way as of yet. We just had to go see for ourselves and aside from the massive amount of sunblock oil the coast was clear. The boys were a bit hesitant at first but by the time the storms came in and we had to leave they were like fish int he water. Mom on the other hand still only went in knee deep. We had a great time at Clearwater and look forward to exploring the rest of the beaches near us. We really want to find one a bit closer and less crowded so we'll see. We got a new mower last night and so Cody has a new fascination. There was no getting out of it since in the few weeks that we have been here the grass has grown knee high and you can't tell if you're stepping on a snake or not and that just isn't cool. With about 4 acres to mow Josh has a job ahead of him. He will probably have to start all over as soon as he gets done. We are still loving it here in FL and have found quite a few parks we want to take the boys to soon. There is a lake with an aquarium and boat rides and different things ad then there is a spring fed water park that you may have seen on TV because they are popular for the "Mermaid" show, ya I think we'll probably skip that show. There's also the Wild Bill's Fan Boat ride that we want to do. Yes we will finally see some alligators there. The dogs did haul in a dead armadillo this week but still nothing alive that creeps me out yet! We walked out to the pond n the hay field yesterday and I was just waiting for a gator to come running out but didn't see anything but bugs. There is quite a bit of water in it now due to the all the rain. It is so much different than the mountain desert rain we are use to you. It just comes out of no where and pours cats and dogs for a little while and then it's gone. We've measure about 8 inches since we got here and it's probably only rained 4 times for an hour or so each time. It sure does help cool things off and we seem to be getting used to the humidity. So that's about it for now till next time.
