This weekend was a busy one for us. Friday night we went to Pine Island for sunset. It was so nice. There were just a handful of people there and the weather was perfect. The sand had cooled off enough you could actually walk on it barefooted. It was quiet and peaceful. The kids spent a few hours playing in the sand and Josh and I looked for shells int he low tide. We saw quite a few small crabs and fish. Josh waded out deeper and watched big fish jumping out of the ocean. The people here seem so nice. There were a few older people that just came up to us and started talking. And everyone talks to the boys. Cody has gotten to where he just walks up and talks to everybody, He usually asks "Hey whats your name" or "Hey what are you doing here" It's kinda scary that he doesn't know a stranger but what can you do. Tanner is still very shy when anyone talks to him he runs and hides behind me or Josh.
So Saturday night we went to the Brooksville Downtown Market. They hold them monthly I think. There were booths set up down three or four blocks with live music, food and a car show. There were alot of political booths, one was a petition to impeach Barack (which we both signed) and of course everyone running in Tuesdays elections. The Governors weren't there but the Senate and Congress were there. Then there were alot of Church booths handing out back to school kits and water and different things. It is strange to see so many churches down here. There is a church on every block at least, and sometimes there are entire streets of Church's. There was jewelry, and crafts, and fresh produce and different things. I think we will probably go back next month but will wait until it cools off. We went at 5 and were roasting before we could really look at everything. We went to an indoor Mexican restaurant to cool off and eat. I was really disappointed. You can't find green chili at all down here, so I went ahead and tried tomatillio green sauce and it was horrible. It did have some spice but it tasted like a spicy pickle to me. We haven't been brave enough to try Cuban food yet, all the places look a little shabby to me and I know that those are usually the best but until I get a recommendation from someone I think I'll stick with Taco Bell for my cravings.
