A Doctor told me that red eyes in a picture means a healthy brain! His are ALWAYS red!
Scotty's Chinese Christmas gift!
Playin in the snow
Christmas this year was way better than I expected. Not only because we were treated to a Secret Santa for days before Christmas but also because we got to spend a lot of time together (one of the benefits of Josh not working). I guess there is a sliver lining to everything. A huge thanks to our secret Santa, we never did catch them and I did leave a note and cookies out but I was too late and they didn't come back.
My kids received so many gifts from other people....there were boxes and bags on our porch everyday. We are so thankful to live in a small, generous community. We feel so humbled because we know that there are so many people worse off then we are and we know we need to return the generosity so stay tuned!

Santa brought Tanner the best rocking horse ever. It winneys and moves it's head and tail. He hasn't quit riding that thing yet! Cody got his vacuum plus a guitar. He can't decide which he wants to play with more, but usually the vacuum wins out. They are enjoying so many other toys too....thanks everyone!
These gifts mean alot but the time we got to spend together meant more to me. The day before Christmas eve Josh and the kids and I spent all morning baking cookies and carmel corn. Later we took them sledding on the street and Tanner had a blast. They napped and I delivered the goodies. It was such a great day! On Christmas Eve my family came over for our Christmas party and we held a Chinese Christmas gift exchange. We all had a good time and way too much food. Christmas day we went to Josh's parents and also to my dad's. Later that night we went to Josh's grandparents. It sounds hectic but it was actually really nice. I'm actually looking forward to the holidays next year! Hopefully they will turn out as good as this year. Oh and lucky me all my inside decorations are all put up and the house is clean for the moment!
